I have sucessfully built gnome 3.4.0 on my machine and have already upgraded some components in BLFS book. I will start to upgrade some more components as they get into 3.4.1 which tarballs release is scheduled for today, tomorrow and Wednesday. For now, I will drop GNOME_PREFIX and GNOME_SYSCO
