OK, I have been having all kinds of problems getting Thunderbird to
compile on my pure 64 build of CLFS running on AMD64. Right now I am
getting a lot of errors during the final ld of .so libs. The message
typically looks like this:

when I boot to lfs I get an error:
Unable to process /etc/sysconfig/network-devices/ifconfig.eth0/dhcpcd. Either
the SERVICE variable was not set,
or the specified service cannot be executed.
