when i try to install gtk 2.6.7 i get a error recursive error

its saying libtool: link: cannot determine absolute directory name of ` @libdir@

belive it or not i was useing 50meg puppy linux as host it worked nice with i couple tweaks to tools in it

sorry i cant copy the term

its on another computer with strict linux system with out modem

but i figure the error is all i need

it gets to libpixbufloader-png then it errors this message

Libtool: link: cannot determine absolute directory name of ` @libdir@

its something like that i had copied this off google

most of the time i can fix errors my self but this here is really got me

anyone have any ideal of what i can do to fix this library link error

i did a google search and it happens to a lot of people there are patches and things there but i dont want to risk another systems patch

im backing up my system and going to install a updated libtool and see if that dont work

or a updated gtk i really just need to know how to fix this

is this a ld.so.conf problem? or libtool problem if i go and install a new version heck i might be in another error problem all together lol its worked good up till gtk
