Oh, thanks for pointing me to the lfs-dev archives. Searching through
the site by several keywords give me no messages from there.
Now I open March 2007 archives and first thread I see is a "Breakage

Hello, friends!
Recently I had successfully built & boot the LFS 6.2 system.
I had encountered some issues building the LFS's toolchain from my
host Fedora Core 6 (x86_64) system, so I created a partition,
mounted it as /mnt/lfs, copied sources there from the LFS 6.2 LiveCD
and chrooted to /mnt/l

I found I needed to upgrade X so I went and installed xorg-7.1.
Startx works fine but I can't get fluxbox to work. It aborts with:
Failed to read session.tab
Failed to read session.pad
about 14 lines like this.
I tried rebuilding fluxbox but the same happens. Any suggestions on
where to look? No

Udev isn't a partition/filesystem/etc., just a set of utilities. I
think you mean /dev.
I'm not sure if this is for the LFS list or BLFS list.
Since mounting udev as a tmpfs is not covered in LFS, I will assume it is
appropriate to ask here.
I have a functioning LFS build using the current 6.2 book.
I didn't see any hints about this topic either.
What process needs to be involved

Hi,

but there is no xpdf in /usr/bin. the pdfinfo and co are there. Does
anyone know this problem?

Hello!
My 2.6.17.8 kernel works fine in LFS 6.2 (the gcc version is 4.1.1). I
don't have any problem with bootscripts.
