Hi Everybody, 686-pc-linux-gnu 2.6.20 I've upgraded my original "LFS" software, glibc-2.3.4/gcc-3.4.3 to "BLFS" glibc-2.5/gcc-4.1.2. I was curious about how compiled files compare under the old system and the new (apples to apples) so I ran a few (unscientific) tests to this effect. Looks like t

Hi, I have Xorg 7.1 and KDE-3.5.5 as normal desktop. And i installed tight VNC using Xfree86. This created the Xvnc, vncviewer etc apps for me. Now does Xvnc not read /etc/X11/xorg.conf or does it not support GLX? On my normal desktop GLX is enabled, but on my VNC it isn't. TIA, Tijnema -- http

For anyone interested, Shadow 4.0.18.1 (just gone into LFS) has an annoying little feature I've just discovered. If built with PAM, it installs default configs into /etc/pam.d, which do things like *require* pam_selinux.so. Basically, it'll break the PAM installation, giving you a system without a
