As of 3.0, a straight Firefox build is just that - a build of Firefox,
Please disregard my last post regarding DBUS versions. Guess I need to
keep going up the chain of versions to make sure it installs, as Dbus
Bindings did not see that it was installed.
I'll keep trying.

Using BLFS svn, dbus 1.0.2 did not install. I tried every version from
1.0.2 until 1.1.20 and 1.1.20 installed. Although i'm not sure how
*well* it installed. Looking back through the output, i see a lot of
/bin/rm: cannot remove '*.xx' : no such file or directory. That doesn't
appear to be 'no

BLFS svn book needs to have glib 2.12.12 updated to 2.18.2 in order to
install libIDL and a few others (for Gnome installation).
libglade 2.6.1 complained about the glib version in BLFS svn. I tried
glib 2.18.2 and installation of libglade completed successfully.

and installed?

Hallo,
I have three BLFS systems runing, two desktops and one laptop. HAL is
installed on all three. On the desktops, hal starts normal ( hal 0.5.9.1 )
but not on the laptop: "starting the HAL Daemon.[ FAIL ] ".
d-bus was already running.
Is some bug known on HAL when running on an Laptop ?
