Hello,
I tried to install qpopper-4.0.9 on my latest blfs machine.
It failed when I followed the instructions given in blfs-6.3-rc2.
Since I don't have PAM installed, I had to add "--without-pam" to the
configure command. Usually such things are mentioned in blfs, so it
would be nice to add tha

I just want to tell you that I found a font suitable
for use with kiten.
I installed then kochi-substitut

Don't be offended. That's the hard way to learn. :)
I have the same problem with much worse results, i.e.
over 6000 unexpected failures in gcc test. I asked for
help two month ago with no result.
Either everyone is satisfied with the

Just for the notes: I build espgs-7.07-1 with gcc-4.0.2 without problems.

Hi folks,
I installed KDE and was eager to use kiten from the
kdeedu package.
After I started it I immediately noticed some boxes
where kanji-characters should be.
Hiragana and katakana characters are displayed correctly.
I suppose I'm lacking a kanji font file.
So, where do I get one?
Thanks
Hi folks,
I was trying to install gnome-2.10 and got up to gnome-vfs-2.10.1.
While building it confronted me with an error in modules/smb-method.c.
After a short check in libsmbclient.h I made the following patch
to build gnome-vfs without this error.
Remember: I'm speaking of samba version 3.0.2

With -lGL the linker tries to link the OpenGL libraries.
You'll need to install them first.
If you have got a

Hello,
in order to avoid rebuilding my complete system is it
possible to build solely the objc,f77 and ada compiler
and install them in /usr/local without damaging the
c and c++ compiler in /usr ?

Hi,
I'm trying to install gcc-3.4.4 with c, c++, objc, ada and f77
on my lfs (svn-20050808).
I followed the instructions from blfs (also svn).
After running the test-suite I decided not to install it, due
to the massive amount of unexpected failures.
I blamed gnat for it. But it isn't gnats fault
