So, I have tested building WebKitGTK+ (NOT 2) built against GTK+-2.24.17. I tried it with the patch. It demanded Automake-1.11 and them failed. So, I tried it without the patch. It built OK. However, there was a quirk installing. Even though it was not built with GTK-Doc-1.x, it failed to install completely. Strange. With it, it installed OK.
