Quick LFS-5 bootscripts question

One of these ** scripts i(init.d/cleanfs, methinks) issues the command rm -rf /var/run/* /var/lock/* But hotplug wants to touch /var/log/subsys/hotplug so the subsys directory keeps vanishing and hotplug gets pissed off, not to mention yours truly. Whassa story? Which needs fixing? I hate thi
