I see that I've got CONFIG_X86_SYSFB=y on 4.0.1 on my r600+ machine (RS780L) where CONFIG_FB_SIMPLE is not set, and all is working for me with radeon KMS. ĸen -- Nanny Ogg usually went to bed early.
