Hi Becky & Stu,
Thank you very much for the help on this topic. They are both important

Hi.
Can anyone tell me if there's a default setting for Word? I've had trouble
with my e-mail client and I've changed some settings within tools in word
accidentally. When I open up Word now, Jaws reads the menus EG file, edit,
view etc and then says something about Adobe PDF. Does anyone know w
Chris, what if I used just the e acceleration firewall and added avast. In
other words, I think I'm ok with stop sign and the other parts of e
acceleration, but maybe avast would be better for viruses. I paid for it so
guess I will stick with e acceleration if it does the same work as avast.
Go to the Format menu and arrow down twice to Bullets and Numbering; hit
enter. Control tab till you hear "Numbered" and then tab once and choose
"None." Tab to Apply and OK.

Hi, I use Advanced Windows Care, however this can only be used to clean junk
off your PC. StopSign, well I did try it, but the scan slowed my system
down a bit so I took it off and am relying on Avast. I have Super
Antispyware, and this will only scan for spyware. On my machine, I have

Hi All,
I am using 2002 XP/Office Home and Jaws 9.0.2169. How do I stop Word from
automatically numbering? For example if I'm making a list of steps and each
line represents a step, I would like to put the numbers in myself instead of
Word doing it for me. All advice and directions will be g
Chris, since I appreciate your vast expertise , can you give me an opinion
on the following three programs I am running and, secondly, whether or not
avast alone would cover these three:
advanced windows care, e acceleration stop sign, superantispyware. Thanks
for any consideration. marilyn
i agree, avg and antivir slow down things considerably for me. i switched to
avast a while back and for me it is the easiest to use (once you set it up
you never have to click another button on the program ever really) and as
far as I am concerned protects my computer well. I also like the voice
Hi, yes it does. Not worth me changing then that's for sure. Good luck.

Hi all, I totally agree. I just like Avast because of it's extra protection,
ease of use, and nonsluggish performance. If I said that AVG's rubbish,
then I sincerely apologize, and it wasn't meant to be that way. I just
found, from personal experience, that AVG slowed down my machine and didn't
John,
I appreciate your candid evaluation of the two anti-virus applications.
What you stated is what I expected, that it's a matter of taste as to which
anti-virus application is preferable.

Chris,
If g mail has a spam blocker, then probably nothing. When I signed up for
bluebottle I didn't know of g mail. It wasn't until I read a few questions
on this list about the service that I knew it existed. I'm about to try
configuring the g mail account I set up to work in Out Look Express.
