I'm having a very irritating problem with windows live messenger. It won't sign in. It says it's signing in but it just sits there doing nothing. .bat files are DOS batch files, so they are collections of commandline DOS commands. So yes, you have to run them from the Run box. In fact, you probably want to go Run, then cmd to get the command line, then use it from there. You'll need either to specify complete paths to the files you need, or
