Yes, it can be used with XP. The CCleaner Slim version means that it is a
download for the program only, no Google toolbars or any extra crap like

I was forwarding an email the other day and it would not go and a error message

Personally I wouldn't use the classic shell;
At first I found using windows 7 a little confusing,
However, as each day went buy, I was able to function quite well.
I actually like the search feature, saves on lot of time.
