I was successful in rolling the IE 9 back to IE 8 on the new laptop that
came with IE 9. When I went through the list of installed updates it had
some from as far back as July of 2011 so I kept looking and found the
Internet Explorer 9 update and uninstalled it. Sure enough IE 8 was there!

Well everything is back on track. I had to download and reinstall after the
update failed.
The only problem was that I had to have my wife help. I could not locate the I
