I realize they dont need voice activated computers but it would be much much eaiser and faster. and the technology exists. the fact is that people could do many things on the computer through complete voice activation. the software just needs to be written... i am surprised it has not been done

hello, i am brand new to this type of group and to the whole subject of blind computing. when i started searching for computers for the blind i was surprised because I thought I would find a lot of great voice activated computers that would make it easy... all i see so far are some clunky screen

thanks for the reply and the info! i saw something by dragon naturally speaking that was sort of voice controlled. if you said write email it would open a new email. all those screen readers leave a lot to be desired when it comes to surfing the internet. you have to go through all the links

right it needs to a combination of voice input from the user, and digital voice output from the computer. so you can say use facebook then say update status then just say what you want your status to be. i am very surprised that there is not already a system like this. thanks for your time. For
