Rick said that he will download and install windows defender to
figure out what the program is doing. I feel that he will get to the
bottom of this. When he posts the results, you might want to
reinstall windows defender if it is running in the background.

Someone told us that if it is running in the background, it will show on the
system tray. I removed Defender the other day because I couldn't see that
it was working. marilyn

I installed Windows Defender yesterday and I have a question.
I am under the assumption that this software always runs in the
background to catch and remove any spyware. It is not in the system
tray. I exit out of Windows Defender so it would not come up when I
do alt+tab around the window
