talking about thunderbird, and another anoyine problem that I have with
it is this.
i can't seem to for the life of me figure out when I try to compose a
message, the stupid context menu pops up.
is there any way to fix this?

Go into settings and turn off autofill. See if the problem stops. Just
keep in mind that you will always have to type in the whole email
address that way, no matter who you are sending too unless you hit reply.
