My wife Nancy and I have recently started hosting a radio show on our public radio's reading service entitled "Viewpoints". The show runs weekly for half an hour and features items that might be of interest to some on this list.
This week's show focuses on the audio editing program Audacity. We've also recorded a show that will feature Band-in-a-box (but this show has not yet aired). Other programs feature descriptions of free screen readers, sources of reading material for the visually impaired, tips for using computers, etc. Anyway, if you are interested, here is some more information and a link for downloading the podcasts: & WXXI presents: <http://wxxi.org/reachout/viewpoints.html> Viewpoints with Nancy and Pete Torpey Each week Nancy and Pete Torpey will share their life experiences and information they have gathered over the years living with vision loss - from the everyday to the high tech. The conversational nature of the show will have listeners connecting with them right away. The podcast of this radio show can be found at: http://www.publicbroadcasting.net/wxxi/.jukebox?action=viewPodcast&podcastId =19710 Enjoy! --Pete For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ Send any questions regarding list management to: blind-computing-ow...@jaws-users.com
