Joshua, >From what I've watched on YouTube, it is my understanding that FSX Pilot doesn't play nicely with native ATC with respect to approach and landing. In other words, it can't follow the instructions given by native ATC in terms of vectoring and landing; it handles it differently apparently.

Native ATC is okay for your first few flights. The voices as far as stringing the different wave files together is the best and no one has come close to emulating it. The whole teaching tool thing is subjective. When Microsoft sold FSX, there were two licenses associated with it. Dovetail Games go
