Lee, Boop mentioned about special soap, and I don't remember doing or using special soap. So I checked, my Duet HE, they recommend (HE soap) high efficiency soap or half of regular soap. We just use half of what is recommended, so our cost on that is half of what it used to be.

Not usually a risk if you hire a private inspector. If you call in the code building inspector I suppose it could be an issue but usually legacy construction is not a problem unless you change ownership or change zoning or get a permit to modify it at which point it all must meet code. I
