The cheapest is probably the peal and stick vinyl tile. Real easy to put down. I have seen it for $0.19 per square foot. You can use vinyl tile glue and it will last longer. Simple to put down, and simple to maintain. You can find that snap together flooring pretty cheap as well, but I don't

I do think it is advisable to buy a few extra squares of the tile for any possible later repairs. I have a tile with a broken place on the edge in my entrance way and I do wish I had a matching one to replace it with. I do not know what happened there, but the tile is really nice looking
