Later messages have cleared this up. The first few messages who said it was

thought it was just a different standard for bar codes.

You have every right to be pissed. The job wasn't done to your spec so
you are probably within your right to withhold payment until the job is
done to spec. Cliff can probably weigh in much more authoritatively here.

Don,
I've done some more research into this. The app is $1.99 yep, two bucks.
The output is all accessible, but actually getting it to scan a barcode is
a bitch. It is mono-directional so you have to scan the barcode in the
correct orientation, and you kind of have to get the barcode centered
If voice over works with this, this could open a lot of posabilities. at least

You're correct, except that RFID setups have to be carefully taylored

Jom,
good research, i missed that.
It'd be interesting to see how close two lables can be together without
interfeering with each other.
Our look at RFId shows this can be a real problem, but
they probably have the reader set to very short range.
thanks

hi dan and every one else that doesn't know
the pen friend does not read bar codes.
it reads rfid tags.
thats why the pens can only use there tags and you have to be carful what
searies of tags you get.
i went to the rnib site and they said they were rfid tags.jim

Aloha Donnie,
I didn't see an answer to your question about the mold on your
carry-bag, but maybe I just missed it. I've used vinegar to spot
clean leather, but usually use a leather cleaner. There are lots of
them out there. The reality is, that even though you get the mold
