Keith, If you're talking about well prepared surfaces that fit together well and are clean, then you need veryy little glue to make a good join. Using good old elmers for example I apply from the bottle just a thin coat to both sides and then make sure I clamp well. Clean up of course is always a

I hated that job as a kid. There are cleaners available for wood, I'd stay away from the oil soaps because they put down a pretty good film. Just so you know, wax is for after everything is already clean. Don't know that I'd want to wax a ceiling but you can make that call. - Origina
