Aloha Spiro,
You can buy driveway alarms that will cover upto
300 or 400 feet. If you bought two of them you
could cover the area and an alarm would sound
inside the tent. They run on batteries and my
friend says the batteries last a long time.
I think you can get them somewhere like Radio

Hi,
Looking through my favorites I located the following URL for a number of
products some of which might well meet your requirements. Mostly the pricing
didn't seem all that bad either.

Hope this is helpful.

The report that started all of this claimed that four out of five table
saw accidents were caused by contact with the blade. Less than one out of
five injuries were due to kick-back. So, the Saw Stop would prevent the
rather large majority of these injuries. The SawStop will not prevent

Is the front yard larger than the back yard? Most back yards aren't visible
from the street and it would seem at least a little safer there. Out of sight
out of mind and all.

Ok, my point is that you can not allow for everything. I am not trying to say
you are paranoid. Can they really see into your back yard? Are you worried
about someone coming through the fence into your back yard in an accident?
I think if you think it is a safe place back their in the daytime
The problem I see with allowing the technology to become a requirement is it
won't be long and some idiot will have stuck his hand into a band saw or a
planer and they'll think everyone needs some kind of instant stop on every
machine.

Hi Spiro,
I think that many of us have a difficult time in imagining the danger you
perceive. Of course just because I am paranoid doesn't mean I am not safe but
what would the motivation be to molest you in your tent? I don't think it is a
blindness issue, blind or not one sleeps.

While I do believe that there is a place in woodworking for the Saw Stop, I
don't believe that it should be a requirement or law. I'm sure that some
rehabilitation centers might push clients toward it. However, there should
be room for the client to know his limitations and make up his/her own mi

I do not believe that the Saw Stop safety feature should be required. A
woodworker should not rely on a table saw's safety feature, but the woodworker
needs to rely on good, safe use of the table saw. This is my goal when I use
any power equipment.
