Hi, Sometimes the lamp unit has a photocell, which switches on/off at dawn/dusk. However some bulbs also have this unit at the bottom of the bulb. You will know if the bulb has it built in, as the bulb is bulkier than normal. If replacing the bulb doesn't work, perhaps the photocell has blown.
