We have a window ac unit, it froze up, because the temperature outside was
alot coolerin the 70's. The unit has done this before and we would put
it on fan only and\or shut it off for a while and the ice has gone away.This

only, it sounds just like it sounds when it is on cool...and it sure is
cold.
