When my basement flooded back in September, we ended up setting up a siphon. I put a five gallon bucket up on a table, ran a hose from the bucket out the window, and kept that five gallon bucket filled by baling from the floor to the bucket. It was a lot of work but we were doing about 2.5

I am fermiliar with sump pumps and basically how they work but I don't know any thing about the out put side, do they usually just run a pipe out the wall? As I was reading Scott's post about this I had a thought. Why couldn't a line be run from the sump basket up the wall and out and then hook up
