Well, it was much easier repairing the cane than I thought.The black foam grip is replaceable. I had my friend take her cane into a surgery supply store that sold replacement grips. When I talked to the salesman at the store he suggest that she bring the cane in so she could get the correct size. He installed it for her with no additional charge.
