Some context for debian-accessibility people: On the blinux list, it was asked: > Is there any way to get on a general debian list at debian.org without > ending up on all the bug trackers and such? Only then I realized that these development trackers & co might be a burden for people, and so >

Mark P here. Man, I was typo king in my last response. Sorry bout that. Ok, how do I get debian testing? Does it have the met install that I can use the s option with as well, and how bout the mate desktop? Mark Peveto Registered Linux user number 600552 Test machine powered by Debian On T

Tony Baechler here. If you're going to use Orca, I suggest Ubuntu MATE instead. Otherwise, you really want at least Debian testing. Jessie is very stable, but packages will be old. I'm running testing here without Orca and I've had no problems. The live CD runs testing. I suggest upgrading to

Reguarding the debian list, yeah, I noticed. As far as the kernels, i'll get yours later thos mornin, then, and see how far I get. I'm using the latest debian met install. i don't think it's testing...I think it's the latest version of Jessie. Mark Peveto Registered Linux user number 600552 T

Tony Baechler here. It shouldn't write anything to your drives unless you mount a drive or install it. If it does write to a hard drive, that's a serious bug and shouldn't happen! I did a quick test boot with KVM and no hard drive. It seemed to work fine. It shouldn't require a hard drive at a

Anders, I'm running the met install, hopefully I'm spelling that right, of Jessie. So far I like it, although I've managed to mess it up on one of my laptops, so I'll probably spend the morning fixing my screw up. Updated orca and now it's mad. LOL! Mark Peveto Registered Linux user number 6
