I understand. that is why I am making an effort to be so specific. From what I have come to understand, what makes a local machine local is that you have done the installation, managed the configuration, and at least to some degree, determined its content. Both shellworld and Dreamhost use

I doubt very seriously if that will work at all. Dreamhost does not fully construct their shell in that fashion. In fact if i was to base the way Ubuntu shells structures function using my dreamhost experiences...I would never touch this at all. fortunately shellworld does a better job. Still
