The installation CD only provides no RAID or RAID1, as I tend to believe that
software RAID0+1 is quite a performance hog. RAID10 is not really that well
supported on

Hi,
When someone tries to log in to ftp using an invalid password, I have a
need to know what the password actually was that they tried to use.
There is no option for it that I can find in proftpd, so I have turned
towards looking at the source to see if I can hack it in, but I cannot
find it. It'
Next time, before reboot, run "top" and see what's eating the resources.

Hi Alan,
we sometime have a very slowly answer of the "Security" and all Items under
this.
We got a good hint from Michael to solve this problem with the pam_abl:
/etc/init.d/pam_abl restart or
/etc/init.d/pam_abl purge
and
/etc/rc.d/init.d/cced.init
Mostly this works and the "Security"-Menu

Hi Ken,
we drive several Aventurines with four x 2 TB as Raid 10 for /vz and a separate
Raid 1 with 2x 147 GB for "the rest of it".
Of course we did install of AVE just with the RAID 1 actice and activated the
RAID10 afterwards.
In short words: it works.

I had a question on the Aventurine.
Would it work with four 1.5 TB drives configured as Raid 10?
That would make the drive that the software sees 3TB

For the last few days, I've been noticing some odd behavior in the admin
GUI of my box... fully updated and otherwise doing well.
Some menu items are not responding--for example, under "Security" the
admin server will not respond to "Login manager", "Logins", "Logfiles",
"Failed Logins" and is
Review your E-mail settings and MX record as well (DNS). What sort of
e-mail client are you using? check the SMTP setting and domain setting
for the client (or app on the server).
