You are right aboout calculating the value, except the shunt has to be very
comfortable at the rated current and
apart is a real PITA, but it's either that or part out/sell off
the unit

I have a Sola pwr xfmr from a Motorola repeater, 80s vintage.
It has a heavy winding of about 20VCT, with 10 ga wire, a 6V winding and a 400V
winding, low current.
The Sola number is 22-1251.
The Motorola number is 25D84516G01.

My son uses a 135' OCFD and small MB with great results.
The OCF moderates the Z swings of the center fed flat top.
Have you changed line width to improve the situation?

It took under an hour to have it on the air, so someone got close but didn't
get their reward!
Someone could strip the tank components and make something usable out of yours
pretty easily.

I’m not bailed out of my hasty purchase yet, but there’s been great progress!
After filling several requests, I’m down to a BUNCH of six pin coil forms for
stripping/reuse.
They are about 1.25X2” and many are for low frequencies, so one could actually
strip down to a desired inductance, with a
are building rigs or receivers with plug in coils I’m your man!
Seems like $2 each would be a good deal? I hear there is some demand.
