but anyway) and I think I can update needed binaries and build them (even
update the project to VS 2015 and/or VS 2017). It looks like an interesting
and challenging task for me.

Einstein is using symbols from Font Awesome. I think they look very nice.
The symbols Einstein is using are:
new posts - fa-star-o
sticky - fa-thumb-tack
locked - fa-lock
BOINC's forum code uses a few symbols Drupal stuff
I partly fixed this by getting the language names (native and international)
from a BOINC file (inc/language_names.inc) rather than from the .po files.
The German problem will go away when the translation is updated.

Rom Walton is the name of the previous developer for much of the BOINC
software.
I'd expect you to need to read a LOT of the previous boinc_dev Digests
to be ready to

I committed it and deployed on SETI@home.
I used a slightly wider author column (10em) to accommodate strings like "Volunteer
moderator".
