because JavaScript is one of the best-designed languages ever. Perl is
actually a pretty good background to learn JavaScript, because it has a

You might have a look at Win32::SystemInfo module.
It claims to do what you need.
If the above doesn't work try to use use
Win32::TieRegistry and then extract the registry key
which contains the information about the amount of
installed memory. I assume it is either under
::Continuum
The reason for 'Everyday perl' to be first on my list
is that I already heard 'Sufficiently Advanced
Technologies' at YAPC. It is a great talk though, and
I wouldn't mind hearing it again if that's what the
