Hi all
Sorry to request again - but we are (again) looking for inspiration (or hard
work?) from someone who can think of somewhere to run a GB practice in
(around) London.
The fields need to be pretty good; ideally we should be able to get them
lined correctly; and there really does need to be to
Absolutely brilliant!

As usual - the thing that really gets people hot and bothered is
organisation of competition.
In Chris' defence - there is a lot to do, and the number of people stepping
up to organise tournaments is really low. (You should try it! Indoors is a
doddle to organise, and you can clean up cash-wise
Start time for GB OPEN practice this SUNDAY is 10:30am.
Venue is Bristol - the usual place in Clifton. I assume everyone knows how
to get there - we've all been often enough. If not - find out - but don't
rely on me for an answer!
This is same for all squads - so should make life easier from log

The Tour 'rock' is in memory of Ben Rainbow, who founded Fingers 6, which
begat Chevron Action Flash, and who did some of the very early work with Si
Hill on how Ultimate teams might be ranked, an idea which eventually mutated
into the Tour. Ben died in 1996.
1. At sudden death in the semi-final (14-14) we started on D. Of course, we
got a turnover! (They hucked some sort of 50-50 disc into our endzone, and
Bob knocked it away.)
So we had the disc on our endzone line Unfortunately we got a bit stuck

I've been assured that someone is writing a more complete report, but in the
meantime another highlight...
1. Rob Mitchell missed just one game in the week (which incidentally we
lost). In the other games I can only think of a total of two (maybe it was
three) offensive points that he didn't play
Hopefully someone is writing some more complete reports... but some more

the pool game). To do this he had to lay out into someone sitting on the
sideline on a chair. The spectator got out
Re Dave Grayson's response to Roger
Dave- I don't agree.
Actually I don't agree with almost everything you said - but I'll just pick
up on the most important point.
I think it is reasonable that people get a chance to discuss (specifically
with Chris Hughes) what changes we ought to make to the co

Any chance of publishing on BD the checklist of such items that you almost
certainly must use when running the many tourneys that you do every year? I
have heard that someone is putting together a kind of UKU TOurnament

Some thoughts about organising Tour tourneys (arising from the field-marking
fiasco).
One of the original aims of the tour was to get us into a position where
these tournaments were run to minimum standards. In practice this doesn't
work because there is no sanction that can be imposed if somethi

in fact the closest university team to southern europe and they duly went to

After winning a close game against Catch22 in the semi-finals and a
one-sided 17-5 victory over mythago in the final we went home with the
trophy, but t

think its pretty clear that after the Feb and March practices the season is
going to require that we move GB practices around, etc. Further - given
the issues we are having finding venues for everyone, we will probably have to
start having practices in different places - so the different
I haven't had a chance to catch up with Laura about any suggestions - but I

Please have another think about this. It would really help to find
somewhere else that we can use for GB practices. (I appreciate that it
isn't easy - I h

The GB Open team managers for 2003-2004 will be Stu Mitchell, Rik Shipley

So far there haven't been any other proposals - if you object to these
people running GB Open you should take it up with the UKU Directors ASAP!

Good point Wayne.
