Hi everyone,

As you've probably noticed, BritDisc kind of died a death last week, with
some major problems with the software I was using. I've now installed the
latest version of the mailing list software and moved all the subscribers
(and hopefully all of their settings) to the new software. You'll be
pleased to hear that the subscriber count is at a new high - 736 minus
the dozen or so obviously administrative accounts leaves about 720 readers!

Hopefully, everything will behave much the same as before, although if
you tweaked your options, please re-check them - I did these by hand, so
may have missed the odd one here and there.

Same e-mail address, [EMAIL PROTECTED], although at the moment, I'm
trying out a slightly more aggresive posting strategy - if you are not
a member of the list and you send a message, you will immediately receive
a message to that effect and I will never even see it. Partially, this is
to reduce the delay of me having to approve the message if it is a relevant
one and partially because I'm sick of wading through in the order of 70
spams per day to find the 1 genuine frisbee related message that needs
approving.

Remember that if you need to send out informational messages or for instance
want to be able to send messages from both work and home but only receive
them at home, then don't forget that you can sign up in "nomail" mode, which
gives you posting rights but will not send you anything other than the
monthly password reminder.

As ever, let me know if you have any problems. I managed to rescue all BD
messages from Wednesday onwards, but possibly some have been lost from the
week before then. If you've posted something and it's not come through,
then please re-send it.

Cheers,
        Ralf.
