I download https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/automake/automake-1.16.5.tar.gz
and compiled it. I have several tests failed in `make check ` command
Most of them are marked with # TODO long-standing limitation
but there are several other failed tests
I configured installation with non-statndard path
: >"$log_file"
"$@" >>"$log_file" 2>&1
I committed this change to test-driver, so it'll (finally) be in the
next release. (Sorry for the long-delayed response.)
