The problem described in

exists
in automake -1.10.
http://people.redhat.com/sgrubb/audit/audit-1.5.6.tar.gz is the package where
one .libs subdir doesn't get
removed with 'make distclean'

Guillermo in THANKS? I assume it doesn't matter much that ChangeLog is
encoded in IS
