Fixing this for all targets will require patching a depressingly large number of
places, or another pass through the relocs in generic ELF code. It hardly seems
worth fixing, given the crash will only occ

I don't have a Sparc. I can build a cross linker. I need all linker inputs
to reproduce it.

Building elfutils on sparc triggers this (running make check against itself).
If you have access to a sparc, you should be able to pull this off.
