Hey,

I very much regret for this wide distribution. I am struck with a nasty gdb issue and it looks like I wil NOT be able to make much progress without someone's help.

Well, I am currently using gcc 3.2 and gdb 5.0 on Solaris. I am running into a strange error whenever I am trying to debug my application. I would appreciate if any one can throw some light on what is causing this whole issue.

Here is the brief description.

1. If I use any structure in my C++ application, during debugging this structure is displayed either an incomplete or unknown type. If I try to access any members in this structure, I get an errror saying

Internal error: 'this' is not an aggregate.

When I searched in the gdb mailing list archive, most people seems to have seen it either on AIX or other platforms using Native compiler. But in my case, I am using only gcc.

I have built gcc 3.2 on my solaris machine with the following flags

/home/gcc-3.2/configure --with-cc=/usr/local/bin/gcc -with-as=/usr/ccb/bin/as --with-ld=/usr/ccs/bin/ld --disable-nls

Any ideas to overcome this issue.

Thanks

Sriram.
