Is it possible to plot the moves vs the equity value?
Following the post at
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-gnubg/2007-05/msg00067.html this
is not possible, right?
I know this from chess GUIs and it's really interesting and helpful.
Hi Oystein,
can you please make a new windows build before I go to Monte Carlo. I
planned to burn a DVD including the newest stuff in case people will
ask.
Ciao

Hi Achim,
I've built a new distrib, it's available on www.gnubg.org.
Code snapshot is latest available (20070703). Multi-thread exes

Great, thx.

are also available to download (at least 1 important bug in them,
Yep, after all I discovered it ;-). I'll probably write a README and put
on DVD.

Hi folks,
sometimes I get this error message at the command line:
Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_progress_set_percentage: assertion `percentage =
0 percentage = 1.0' failed
After that gnubg very often is unusable and has to be killed manually.
It mostly happens during or after a n analysis/rollout.

Hi Achim,
I'm pretty sure that it is a counting bug in the multithread code,
Hi folks,
weird things are going on. I made a few tests with a certain position
regarding the MT bug (standard error no/double).
I played a moneygame (attached, it's not that bad ;-) ) and made the
following rollouts at the redouble/take position:
Current snapshot, all rollouts 2-ply, cube
As usual ... ;-)
The score (after 0 games) is: gnubg 0, ace 0

Windows). When downloading from the site
http://www.gnubg.org/index.php?itemid=56, I receive a file
gnubg-0.15-stable-20061119-setup.exe, but after installation and
starting of that software, it is the 0.16 version
Hi Hardy,
I'm sorry to hear that the 0.16 version crashes for you. Could you
please describe when and how it crashes and tell us if you are using
the threaded version?
To downgrade just rename the gnubg directory located under Program
Files to something else and install a fresh copy of 0.15. If
Thanks Christian,
my main confusion is, that I did a absolutly NEW, FRESH installation of
GNUBG (supposed to be 0.15): Deleted the older versions before,
installed the file gnubg-0.15-stable-20061119-setup.exe, which I got
from the download section of the GNUBG website, from the link that was
