I forgot to add the problem resides in the NSApplication.m patch dated
2006-04-28. After reverting to the earlier version, the accelerator
keys work as expected.

With the reverted patch in SVN today, the menu accelerator keys are
working again. However, they are now triggered even without holding
down the command key.
