I had previously reported:
get_diskinfo() calls get_diskinfo_standard(1, ...), which immediately
returns error code 96.

isn't documented in the Ralf Brown's Interrupt List...

Hi, I am trying to install grub 0.90 but haven't been lucky so far.
Setup:
2 identical 20GB harddisks (hd0) and (hd1).
Partitions:
(hd0,0) /boot ext2
(hd0,1) / xfs
and others, not relevant here...
My kernel is in /boot, the grubfiles in /boot/grub.
If I boot from a grub-floppy,

I recommend doing the following:
cd /boot
ln -s . boot
grub-install --root-directory=/boot /dev/hda1
See what happens then - it should probably work.
