Recently I installed Mandrake 8.1 using Grub as a bootloader, however,
I'm having a problem to load Linux, and Win2000 is working perfect/
If initiated using the bootdisk works fine, but if I choose to boot
using my harddisk, it doesn't work at all, and shows me the following
message:
I believe I have found a bug in GRUB, although it is probably just user
error on my part.
SUMMARY:
Installing GRUB on my system renders APM unuseable when running Win98. I
do not experience the same problems with lilo.
SYSTEM:
Gateway 9100 Laptop
20GB Hard Drive
256MB RAM
Pentium II 266 MHz MMX

I recommend getting and trying the current Grub CVS tree. This was a known
problem, because Grub didn't do an APM disconnect
