What I want to do is to cause GRUB to load the
stored image of TrueCrypt's MBR and load it into the correct place in
memory. Since that would also contain a partition table, there would be no
hiding or unhiding necessary.

I just upgraded to Ubuntu 8.04 about a week ago. After the install of
the upgrade, Grub will no longer load the Win XP side of my C drive
(which I have partitioned for Win XP on one side and Ubuntu on the
other). I still have one application on the Win XP side that I need to
access on occasion

I would like to use GRUB for the boot manager, BUT, I just realized today
that I have been using TrueCrypt in 'Single OS' mode. Maybe it's muliti OS'
mode would let me switch to GRUB afterwards.
I'll play with all this.
BTW, TrueCrypt begins decrypting BEFORE loading a real bootmanager, since
