I have download grub-0.97.tar.gz
#tar zxvf grub-0.97.tar.gz
#cd grub-0.97
#./configure make make install
#grub-install --root-directory=/mnt /dev/sdb
reboot from /dev/sdb, comes grub , but no tftpserver or bootp command
found, why?

statement about passsword protection being updated (no longer succeptable to
partial password entries)
I'm looking for the steps to password protect grub 2. I also would like to
know what tool to use to encrypt the password.

I have a very strange GRUB problem.
My system has two disk drives, one of which with two Linux installs.
MBR of each disk has been setup from separate installs to allow booting
either Linux:
IDE disk (MBR setup from IDE part2)
Part1: Mint 7 (Ubuntu 9.04 based)
Part2: Ubuntu 8.04
SATA disk
