Hello folks! On a Dell Dimension 4400 (about a 10-year old computer), when I boot into Grub2 rc~1, go into commandline, and enter ls, it takes a painfully long time to load the found hard drives and partitions. Maybe 30 seconds? However, ls'ing a filesystem is quick. So, is this a bug in Grub,

Out of disk error

I'm trying to run grub-install /dev/sdb (version 1.99-21ubuntu3.1) after installing windows but I keep receiving out of disk error. My boot partition is in an LVM one. I can boot Ubuntu using the Super Grub 2 Disk that detects my grub.cfg. This is my sdb: Disk /dev/sdb: 1000.2 GB, 1000204886016
