Follow-up Comment #1, bug #32091 (project grub):
That is an accesibility feature of GRUB(for remote controls and gamepads and
thelike input controllers). You can also repeatedly press the same key on your
keyboard(maybe spacebar) to activate the single key mode which is another one.
