Summary: grub-mkconfig doesn't prevent itself from setting lang to a missing locale in /boot/grub/grub.cfg Project: GNU GRUB Submitted by: crockety Submitted on: Sun 17 Apr 2016 08:54:37 AM GMT Category: Configuration Severity: Major Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Software Error Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Name: crocket Originator Email: crockabisc...@gmail.com Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: Release: other Reproducibility: Every Time Planned Release: None _______________________________________________________ Details: I use grub 2.02.beta2 on manjaro linux. If LANG is ko_KR.UTF-8, lang is set to 'ko' in /boot/grub/grub.cfg, but there is no file on /boot/grub/locale/ko.mo. Thus, grub says there is no /boot/grub/locale/ko.mo during boot. It is not fatal, but it bothers me. grub-mkconfig should be able to fall back to english if there is no corresponding grub locale file for the current system locale. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?47719> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/ _______________________________________________ Bug-grub mailing list Bug-grub@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-grub
