Follow-up Comment #2, bug #56144 (project grub): I did a bit of bisecting on Arch Linux with gcc 8.3.0 and found: git commit 35b909062e7b334eb4af372be3260d0f62d85375 fail to compile as described in this bug git commit f8f35acb5b05d40e3707a9d2db9ede60023e4cac compiles cleanly
